No. 1About the venue
Great Canadian Entertainment operates Elements Casino Surrey as of October 2026. The casino first opened its doors in November 2005.
It occupies the grandstand building of what was once the Fraser Downs racetrack. The City of Surrey terminated the racetrack lease on 15 August 2025, bringing live harness racing to an end. That termination did not extend to the casino, which has stayed open. In September 2025 the racing surface was removed, and in December 2025 the backstretch barns came down. A few of the operator's own listings still refer to live harness racing. Guests should note that no live racing now takes place on the site.
Under an agreement dated 9 March 2026, Great Canadian is selling the casino. The buyer is SE-MI-AH-MU Development Corporation, of the Semiahmoo First Nation. The sale needs the consent of the regulators as well as of the City of Surrey, which is the landowner. In mid-June 2026, trade press reported that it had not yet closed.
No. 2Hours and admission
The operator lists the hours below. Please note that the live tables close earlier than the casino itself.
| Area | Days | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Casino | Monday to Thursday | 10AM to 4AM |
| Casino | Friday to Sunday | 24 hours |
| Live table games | Sunday to Thursday | 10AM to 1AM |
| Live table games | Friday and Saturday | 10AM to 3AM |
Only adults aged 19 and over are admitted. In common with every casino in British Columbia, guests are asked at the door for an original photo ID issued by a government. Security staff check the ID against a list of those barred from entry, including anyone enrolled in Game Break. Nothing personal is retained for guests who are let in. Accepted documents include a driver's licence, a BC Services Card or a passport, among others. Provincial law does not permit smoking or vaping indoors.
No. 3Games and tables
Slot machines and electronic tables together number more than 500. Alongside them are 10 live table games, arranged as follows:
| Game | Tables |
|---|---|
| Table Bet Blackjack | 2 |
| Low Limit Blackjack | 1 |
| Ultimate Texas Hold'em | 3 |
| Four Card Poker | 1 |
| Ruyi Baccarat | 1 |
| Squeeze Ruyi Baccarat | 1 |
| Roulette | 1 |
In the Action Arena, guests will find $0.50 roulette on both live and virtual wheels, $5 baccarat and a virtual version of Ultimate Texas Hold'em. The casino does not have a poker room, and the house is the opponent in both Four Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold'em.
A simulcast racing lineup still appears on the venue's page, though the latest calendar it links to covers April 2026. Guests hoping to bet on races may wish to check with the casino beforehand. Encore Rewards is the loyalty program here.
No. 4Dining, entertainment and events
The casino's food and drink outlets are these:
- Buffet restaurant: terrace-style seating beside floor-to-ceiling windows, with a weekend all-you-can-eat buffet
- Foodies: casual meals
- Elements Bar: open on Friday and Saturday nights
Comedy and live music feature every week. Yuk Yuk's has comedy nights listed for 30 and 31 October 2026 at 8PM, open to guests 19 and over.
Two spaces are available for groups. The Dragon Lounge takes up to 220 guests for a reception or 160 for a seated dinner, while The Homestretch at Elements accommodates up to 350.
Current menus, outlet hours and event details are posted on the venue's official page.
