No. 1Who keeps the desk

The desk is prepared and reviewed by its own editorial team, credited together as the Travel Desk editors. No page carries a personal byline. richmondcasinoca.com is an independent visitor's guide to River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, beside the Canada Line and close to YVR. It also covers the other casinos of Metro Vancouver, nine in all, each with a page of its own. It does not operate as a casino, accepts no wagers, holds no accounts and is paid by no venue.

No. 2How facts are checked

The desk draws on what venues and official bodies publish, including River Rock's own site and operator page, BCLC, the Province of British Columbia and TransLink. Where two sources disagree on a figure, the desk leaves it out or notes that the venue publishes it. The open or closed note on the home page compares Pacific time with published hours, so unpublished holiday changes, private events or closures will not show. Distances are straight lines rather than walking or driving routes, and the desk claims no visits, calls, interviews or tests. Every page is written from published material alone, last checked in October 2026.

No. 3Where the pictures come from

Apart from four photographs, the pictures on the desk come from picture-making software rather than a camera, and nobody shown in them is a real person. The River Rock theatre, hotel suite, restaurant, marina and atrium, and the other casinos' rooms and views, are modelled on real photographs of each location. For the marina and atrium, those source photographs are free-licence works by Blake Handley and GoToVan, credited beneath the pictures. Four are free-licence photographs, each credited with its author and licence: the River Rock boardwalk on the home page, by GoToVan via Flickr. The others are the River Rock lobby by Canmenwalker, the Canada Line train by Atomic Taco and Parq Vancouver by Wpcpey, all via Wikimedia Commons.

No. 4How the desk is paid

The desk receives money only through the buttons marked Ad on its home page. Those buttons open the site of a commercial online casino, which pays the desk a commission and may be replaced in future. That site is not PlayNow, nor is it operated by the province. Links to venues, to PlayNow and to support services earn the desk nothing.

No. 5Where to write

You may write to the desk at [email protected] with a correction, a change in opening hours or a question about its methods. The mailbox is the desk's own and no casino reads it. A question for a particular venue is best put to that venue by telephone.
