No. 1The resort

River Rock Casino Resort is at 8811 River Road, Richmond, B.C. V6X 3P8. Great Canadian Entertainment operates the resort. BCLC, the province's Crown corporation, conducts, manages and operates commercial gaming in British Columbia.

The resort has a hotel with a spa, an indoor pool and a fitness centre. Details are on Staying at River Rock.

The Show Theatre hosts headline concerts and tribute acts throughout the year.

The resort's own site is riverrock.com, and the operator also keeps a River Rock page. BCLC's Casinos BC listing gives the telephone number as 604-273-1895.

No. 2Opening hours and entry

Casinos BC lists the casino floor as open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. According to the operator, craps runs daily from 11 AM to 2 AM in the Action Arena. Separate hours for the other table games are not published.

Holiday hours are not published in a form the desk can confirm. If you are planning a visit around a statutory holiday, you may wish to check the resort's site beforehand.

Gambling in British Columbia is for adults aged 19 and over. Since June 26, 2023, every visitor to a B.C. casino has been required to show physical, government-issued photo ID at the door. Security scans it and checks it against the list of people barred from gambling facilities, which includes those enrolled in Game Break, BCLC's self-exclusion program. BCLC states that it stores no personal information for people who are allowed in.

Only original documents are accepted. Photos and copies are not. If proof of age is required, you will need to show a second piece of ID. Accepted ID includes:

  • a B.C. or other North American driver's licence
  • a BC Identity Card (BCID) or BC Services Card
  • a Canadian or international passport
  • a Canadian citizenship card or permanent resident card
  • a Secure Certificate of Indian Status card
  • First Nations, Métis or Inuit band membership cards
  • government-issued foreign ID

The full list is on the Casinos BC ID page.

No. 3On the gaming floor

The casino has a large slot floor. It also has Privé Slots, which the operator describes as B.C.'s largest selection of $1 machines, with its own private dining area.

According to the resort, the table games include:

  • baccarat
  • roulette
  • blackjack and Freebet Blackjack
  • Ultimate Texas Hold'em
  • Fortune Pai Gow
  • Four Card Poker

The Action Arena offers roulette, craps, $10 baccarat and $5 sic bo.

Stadium Gaming has 108 electronic table game terminals. The resort describes this as the largest selection in B.C. From a single terminal, you can bet on several live tables of baccarat, roulette and blackjack.

The resort's site lists a poker room offering Texas Hold'em. Its hours and limits are not confirmed on the official site, so you may wish to contact the casino before you go.

Private and high-limit play takes place in the Maple Leaf Room, the Dogwood Room and the Jade Room.

Every B.C. casino has a GameSense Info Centre on or near the gaming floor, staffed by GameSense Advisors. They can explain how games work and help with setting limits.

No. 4Dining and lounges

  • Gordon Ramsay Steak: Canada's first Gordon Ramsay Steak, opened in 2025. It has a bar and lounge, an outdoor Marina Terrace and private dining. The operator lists dinner daily from 5 PM, and the restaurant takes reservations.
  • The Chairman's Room Lounge: on the third floor, serving à la carte dishes. Breakfast runs from 7 to 11:30 AM. Closing times differ between sources, so you may wish to check the lounge page. As of October 2026, the resort lists live music in the lounge on Saturdays in October from 6 to 9 PM.
  • The Chairman's Room Buffet: the resort's site gives conflicting information about which days the buffet runs. Please confirm on riverrock.com before planning around it.
  • Sea Harbour: Cantonese cuisine, dim sum and seafood. The resort lists hours of 10 AM to 3 PM and 5 to 10 PM. Tourism Richmond gives its address as 150-8888 River Road, across from the casino, so it may be in a separate building.
  • Zio's: a food court serving pizza.
  • Privé Bar: a bar on the gaming floor. Its hours are not clearly published.

No. 5Rewards

Official sources give two names for the loyalty program. The operator's River Rock page shows both "Encore Rewards" and an "Introducing Great Canadian Rewards" banner. The desk cannot confirm which name currently applies at River Rock.

Members earn points at slots and table games. Comp Dollars can be used at participating amenities, including Zio's, by showing the card. Members may also receive dining discounts or priority seating at participating restaurants.

You can sign up in person at a Great Canadian location in B.C. The Great Canadian Rewards site also offers online sign-up. Points are best treated as a small courtesy rather than a reason to play longer than you had planned.
