No. 1A short introduction
The casino forms part of the Parq Vancouver resort, found at 39 Smithe Street in the downtown core. Measured in a straight line rather than by road, it is roughly 12.2 km from Richmond city centre and roughly 8.9 km from River Rock Casino Resort.
Gaming continues around the clock. Alongside the casino, the resort offers two hotels, a number of restaurants and a poker room. The official Parq Casino site carries the venue's current information.
No. 2Hours and admission
Parq states that its casino operates 24/7.
Guests must be 19 or older. The venue notes that every guest is asked for identification on arrival, regardless of age, in line with the province-wide rule that took effect on June 26, 2023. Security staff scan a physical, government-issued photo ID and compare it with the register of people barred from entry, a group that includes participants in Game Break. For guests who are admitted, BCLC states that no personal information is kept.
The following documents are accepted:
- a B.C. or North American driver's licence
- a BCID
- a B.C. Services Card
- a Canadian or international passport
Copies and photos will not be accepted, so you may wish to bring the original document with you.
On attire, Parq states that it has no specific dress code.
No. 3The gaming floor
Among the games the venue names are blackjack, baccarat, roulette, poker, slots and electronic touch machines, as well as Stadium Gaming. Neither slot nor table numbers are made public.
You will find the poker room on Level 3, at the head of the escalators, where play runs 24/7. The venue describes it as BC's biggest poker room but does not give a table count.
The casino participates in Encore Rewards, and guests may enrol at Guest Services on Level 2.
No. 4Dining and facilities
Outlets named on the venue's pages include the following, among others:
- KOI Noodle Bar
- D/6 Lounge
- The Victor
- Honey Salt
The venue publishes its own menus and opening hours for each. Overnight guests may choose between the two hotels on the property, the JW Marriott and The Douglas.
Under B.C. rules, smoking and vaping are prohibited in indoor public places, and that prohibition extends to casinos.
